Tank Fab

This is the latest project of my buddy Andy, a gas tank for his '57 Road Rocket. Completely hand made as usual and in the spare 5 minutes he had between breaks making a Ali roof for his Chevy small block powered  Austin Healey. It's his idea of a cross between a Catalina tank and a Matchless scrambler. Nailed! Sorry for the poor iPhone pix.

Silver

The Sad Sack tank has been mutilated and stitched up with no visible scars. Right now it's sitting in the shop of the inhumanly talented Gary Thomas at Spraypoint where, after receiving the lovely silver base coat you see here, it will hopefully be finished and ready for inspection later this week.

Ike Johnson

Introducing the one & only Ike Johnson. 47 years old and son to the Bonneville's of England. Having been adopted by the owner of Johnsons Motors in California in 1966, Ike spent his formative years having fun in the sun and, as many Californians do, had reconstructive surgery to maintain his youthful looks...or to evade the CIA. Sometime later Ike moved on to Texas where he survived Hurricane Ike in 2008 and needing a rest was laid up and forgotten in a barn. Fast forward to 2012 and Ike finds himself back in the land of his birth with a new owner, Bear. 

Bear will ride the shit out of Ike. I think Ike will like that.

DICE 49

After reading Dice, most people probably set it down somewhere ready to read again at a later time. I like to put it to better use like under my scoot's kickstand to stop it sinking in to hot asphalt or throwing it at next door's cat when it wants to take a dump in our garden. I'll swing for that cat, I really will.
